Entering Text

Editing and Entering Data

The following section goes over the procedures for how to add, edit, and save text in the text editor for the particular categories needed to complete this section.

  • Clicking the Outline link to ADD or clicking the icon to EDIT or DELETE opens a new window with a text editor box.

    Note: In compliance with the Institute’s security policy, this edit window will remain active for 120 minutes. Data not saved within this time limit will be lost.

  • The timer counts down the minutes remaining for you. Remember, you must SAVE within 120 minutes of opening the edit window or your data entry will be lost.

  • The Java plug-in has to activate every time an edit window is opened.

    Wait for the Java Run-time to finish activating before you begin data entry.

  • Enter a category title. This title is used as the “header" in the outline and printed copy of your Annual Assessment Update.

    The associated short description is displayed. If you choose “OTHER” you must enter a short description.

    The short description serves as a subtitle and helps identify or categorize the information.

  • Select from the drop down list. Highlight and click on your selection.
